  • What do students learn in your classes? What is the expected outcome?

    Students in my class learn about the important role medication administration plays in medicine. This class expands on knowledge that my students already have and it challenges them to implement current evidence-based practice in nursing. The expected outcome is for my students to be safe and efficient nurses in healthcare.

    The online nursing program at ULM offers a prestigious and flexible program for nurses who wish to advance their career.

  • What qualities make someone particularly successful in healthcare?

    The qualities that make people successful in healthcare are individuals who embody integrity, compassion, humility, and a strong work ethic.

  • What do you think is the biggest challenge that nurses face today?

    Burnout is the biggest challenge facing people in healthcare today. The physical and mental demands to be a nurse can be difficult at times.

  • Why did you start teaching?

    I started teaching to help develop future nurses for a profession that has given me so much. It is also important that students and the community see the diversity in healthcare.

  • What is the one book you think everyone should read?

    H3 Leadership: Be Humble. Stay Hungry. Always Hustle. by Brad Lomenick

  • Tell us something interesting about yourself that your students might not know about you.

    My students may not know that I am huge college football and basketball fan. The passion and energy that college athletes play with to reach a professional level is a joy to watch.
